After 3 hard days riding the girls went on strike and wouldn't ride any more. So we changed the formulae for the last day. Char and I left for a short ride in the morning to catch up on some parts of the trail that I missed. And then I headed east on my own to Cle Ellum.
I put in about 18 miles and Char about 7. It was a little rainy in the morning but just a light drizzle so it didn't interfere with our riding much. We rode directly from our campsite a bit west along the Ironhorse back almost to the point where I turned around. There were several bridges and some cool views of the Yakima River. Although I like riding with Char and the girls getting a mostly solo day in was a nice change of pace.
By now the rain had almost stopped, it did haunt us a little later but not too much. Char is on a different bridge over the Yakima upstream and west from Lake Easton. | ![]() |

![]() | The town of Easton was pretty run down, it was a railtown in it's day and now is barely surviving. This old railcar was at one point in time converted to a restaraunt. Now it's abandoned. |
