After 3 hard days riding the girls went on strike and wouldn't ride any more. So we changed the formulae for the last day. Char and I left for a short ride in the morning to catch up on some parts of the trail that I missed. And then I headed east on my own to Cle Ellum.

I put in about 18 miles and Char about 7. It was a little rainy in the morning but just a light drizzle so it didn't interfere with our riding much. We rode directly from our campsite a bit west along the Ironhorse back almost to the point where I turned around. There were several bridges and some cool views of the Yakima River. Although I like riding with Char and the girls getting a mostly solo day in was a nice change of pace.

This picture looks awful becuse it was taken from too far away with lousy lighting. This is the bridge which is pictured at the end of my last ride report as seen from across the lake. The bridge is actually spaning Yakima River as it enters Lake Easton.

By now the rain had almost stopped, it did haunt us a little later but not too much. Char is on a different bridge over the Yakima upstream and west from Lake Easton.

The Yakima River Winding along near the trail.

Char entering a tunnel. Obviously this photo was touched up a bit.

The town of Easton was pretty run down, it was a railtown in it's day and now is barely surviving. This old railcar was at one point in time converted to a restaraunt. Now it's abandoned.
